A very short, atmospheric and ancient sounding piece for dulcimer and three violins.

I wanted to write something that felt archaic and regal but more gloomy than “kingly”. I also wanted a progression that expressed a more complicated story than the title implies. To my ear, there is a thread of suspicion and threat hidden underneath the sadness.
